The fashion diva that I am has finally decided to write a blog. Yes, I know I am a little late to this party, but I finally figured out what to write about. Or better yet what angle to take a blog in, so bare with me while I stumble through my first attempt of putting my thoughts out there.
As I did my research on other blogs I started to realize there is an element of fashion that is missing. How many of you out there can afford to buy high end designer pieces? Or use to be able to afford them and now you can't because money is tight and we should be saving for a rainy day. Well, I have to admit I could never really afford many high labels nor did I want to walk around with a big C or RL all over my stylish duds. Instead, I would study magazines like In Style, Lucky and Vogue to see what was hot that season. But, then march down to the nearest Target store to see what fun new clothing items would be calling my name. A lot of times I would only come home with a blouse because I knew it would go with those pants I just bought at Ann Taylor off of the sale rack. Low and behold, a few Walmart accessories later, along with the new Target top and pants I would have the same outfit I found in the magazines.
My years of searching through sales racks at all the best stores finally lead me to start my own business and now a blog. Ok, down to the good stuff, the real reason I am here. I am here to show how you can be "Chic on the Cheap"! Once a week I will search out new outfits that you may find a famous star wearing. Or find it in the pages of you favorite magazine, you know the in the section where it says Affordable Fashions, only to find out the outfit will cost you at least $300 and that's just for the pants. Have you ever read those articles and thought who are you kidding?? $300 for pants!! Well, I am here to show you how to find those pants for less than $100 and at your local Walmart store no less.
I welcome thoughts, suggestions, or places to shop that you have found helpful for you. That way I can pass on the fashionable savings to the rest of the world. See the next blog for my first amazing find/story.
